Five Levels Of Leadership

What is the differences between ordinary and extraordinary peoples?

If you want to distinguish between an ordinary man and an extra ordinary man, begin with the difference in their attitude. An extraordinary man contributes more than 99% of his potential whereas an ordinary man doesn't even contribute 1% of what he can. The reason behind this difference lies in their attitude towards self and the outside world. We will further analyse this difference in the light of their behavioural styles in tough situations.

The first category is termed as quitter- He knows where he is supposed to go but his attitude doesn't allow him to face any change and all the possible challenges, that change can bring. The moment he sees situation is not in his accordance, he quits. He cannot survive in the difficult times and his sustenance is very short.

The second category of people are called as fault finders. These people analyse the tough situation carefully, figure out the areas of concern and have a strong logic to support their withdrawal from the situation. They are good in convincing others and self, for the reasons to back up from a tough situation or to quit the task. They do not foresee the solutions; their approach ends at problems.

Next to this are people who are enthusiastic, energetic and ambitious. They want to achieve heights and show a strong courage towards the same. However, they cannot retain these traits for long. When situation gets tough, they try two to three times and then give up. Their survival is higher than fault finders but not long enough to be productive. They are called dabblers.

Stressors are bit different from dabblers. They form the fourth category. They do not give up easily. Their focus is always on going back to the situation and find the solutions. For them, failure is not the solution. They will re-attempt a task till the time it gets completed. They have zest to excel and to succeed. They are dependable people and are very less in numbers.

Rarest of rare people come under the category of masters-the final and fifth category. These are people who have strong analytical skills and who believe in creating alternative ways and developing strategies. Like a stressor, they will get their way but their approach would be more refined and specific as compared to the stressor. Such people are rare in number and are considered to be ones who create histories.

How should I motivate myself to strive all the time ???

You don’t need to strive in life, if you are self-motivated. A motivated person either wins or learns new ways to win from a situation. He never fails. He sees every opportunity as a platform to learn. He looks for useful information everywhere he goes. He has an open mind set and doesn't make random belief systems. He has the courage to explore and invent. He never fears of the end result.

But the question is – How should you motivate yourself?

The foundation for motivation is, “motivation should not be outside in; rather it should be inside out”.If you get motivation from an external source, you are depending yourself on something which is not permanent.
Let’s say the thing or the person who act as the source of motivation for you goes away one day, what will you do? Will you get de-motivated in its absence? Obvious answer is yes. And in such situations you tend to replace it with something similar, which is not easy to find.
However, there could be an internal source as well which can be your source of motivation. Your belief systems, desire to achieve something or even your positive attitude for external world could be your source of motivation. It is often said that a person is not paralysed physically; he’s mentally paralysed. When you have the highest belief and you believe in it, you end up creating your path which leads you there. You don’t need someone to come and motivate you and say good words. You can tell yourself that you can do this and that you know the way as well.
At this moment, after discussing the need of internal source of motivation and reflecting on strong belief systems as one of these, you may think of what makes a strong and right belief system? Answer to this is very simple- it lies in your roots. When the root cause of everything you think and do is correct and clear to you, you enhance your internal motivation. Knowing every thought process of yours help you frame your belief system. You daily actions form a pattern in your life. And these patterns start leading you at one point of time. Eventually you realize that you don’t lead your life; your patterns are leading your life.
In all this, we observe that our conscious mind has stopped working. Our patterns of life have become so strong that they rule the conscious mind state as well. In other words I may say that “the subconscious mind is leading the conscious mind as the conscious mind is not conscious”. Change your mind set and start valuing the right belief system .When you value somebody’s value system, his value system becomes your value system. Start valuing the right belief system.

When you develop the right belief system, you are safe in your own safe hands. Whatever be the circumstances, you will be mentally strong and you can work as per your choice. Be the example people will follow. Just change your pattern and your world will change accordingly.
