Success in Daily Life through Bhagavad Gita by Mr. Vivek Bindra

Introduction to Management
Principles from Bhagavad Gita

Bhagavad Gita was the first
ever motivational seminar spoken 5200 years ago in the battlefield of
Kurukshetra. The book is a series of FAQs between Arjuna and Krishna where Arjuna
is asking questions and Krishna is answering.

Stephen Covey, author of the best seller 7 habits of highly effective people, has admitted that he has
conceived all the habits from Bhagavad Gita.

In the first chapter of Bhagavad Gita, Krishna is listening intensely while Arjuna is expressing his stress, challenges & emotions in the battlefield. Like him, today everybody has their own battle within self. People in corporate have their own battles to fight. How to bounce back in tough situations is the key message in the book. It enables people to transform from circumstantial manager to substantial manager. The book covers everything about management & leadership to achieve excellence. The principle applied is “seek to understand first and then to be understood”. It helps one to understand the nature of circumstances and build the ability to bounce back with a positive attitude. So, essentially Bhagavad Gita covers all kinds of required leadership wisdom which helps people to handle tough times in today’s competitive world of stressful situations.
Research says that more than 80% employees in any organization are disengaged; more than 90% employees are passengers, and only 10% are drivers, and the result is continuous dissatisfaction, extreme stress, no work life balance, lack of effectiveness and decline in efficiency. For all of these and many more problems, Krishna has given timeless principles in Bhagavad Gita. These principles can be applied at any time, place and situation; they were spoken 5200 years ago but they are absolutely valid and has the same effect applied in the today’s modern corporate scenario.

Karma Theory
“Karam kare jaao, phal ki iccha mat karo” is a misapplied shloka. It is misinterpreted as working for a company but not getting promoted. Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times but he never thought of failure. He had the bounce back ability and he did not worry about his failures. This is what Krishna teaches us in Bhagavad Gita. One should know the difference between two kinds of efforts - efforts with worry and efforts without worry. When we worry, the quality of the efforts goes down and it impacts the results. Also Krishna explains difference between expectation and gratitude, Expectations are directly proportional to frustration but Gratitude is inversely proportional to frustration – the more you have gratitude, the less you have frustration.
So friends you can also type VIVEK BINDRA on YouTube to check his channel and hear him live on Bhagavad Gita.

Bhagavad Gita also helps in creating a direction by setting goals because clearly defined goals are bound to give the desired results. In the beginning, Arjuna is direction-less and Krishna acts as a mentor & coach to give him directions. Krishna establishes the importance of being focused and how one can incorporate these learnings in life. Bhagavad Gita elaborates the importance and techniques of controlling mind to produce desired results. It teaches everyone to regulate multiple desires and focus in one direction that is, THE GOAL and get the wished output.

Bhagavad Gita is a book that can transform our lives. When we want to change our habits we often do things we know we should stop doing. Krishna gives a series of Shlokas as answers to this. One of which says ‘You have 5 senses. Regulate them. Check at the entry gates to allow anything that is unwanted to get in. Otherwise, the negativity around will uproot all your knowledge and wisdom, and you will do things even if you do not want them to do.

Do you know that you are an average of 5 people you keep yourself in your life around?

When you regulate your associations, you can influence your future by automatically displaying good actions. When there is garbage in, there will be garbage out. Good in – good out. Negativity in- negativity out. Positive in-positive out. So create good associations and you will have good character and your destiny will automatically shine.

After the unfortunate 9/11 incident, the Americans lost faith in people coming from South Asia. Because of which now, one has to reach the airport 3 hours before the departure. A lot of money, time and effort are wasted because of the loss of faith and trust. This is called the law of increasing returns and is explained in Bhagavad Gita. When the value and trust is low, the cost of business goes up; when the value and trust is high, the cost of doing business goes down.

“When you give more than what you get soon you
get more than what you gave”

                                                                                                                                    -Vivek Bindra

Power of Thoughts
It is said that all the things you see on this Earth were in somebody’s mind at first. The principle is that all things are created twice, once in the mind and then in real. So, it is imperative to watch your thoughts and creatively &consciously chose your thoughts. If you really want to change your life, start by changing your thoughts.
In Chapter 8, Verse 6 of Bhagavad Gita, Krishna tells Arjuna, “You become what you think.” If you want to control your destiny, start by controlling your thoughts.

Success is not by
chance but by choice.
You can choose your success
by choosing your thoughts

Five Levels Of Leadership

What is the differences between ordinary and extraordinary peoples?

If you want to distinguish between an ordinary man and an extra ordinary man, begin with the difference in their attitude. An extraordinary man contributes more than 99% of his potential whereas an ordinary man doesn't even contribute 1% of what he can. The reason behind this difference lies in their attitude towards self and the outside world. We will further analyse this difference in the light of their behavioural styles in tough situations.

The first category is termed as quitter- He knows where he is supposed to go but his attitude doesn't allow him to face any change and all the possible challenges, that change can bring. The moment he sees situation is not in his accordance, he quits. He cannot survive in the difficult times and his sustenance is very short.

The second category of people are called as fault finders. These people analyse the tough situation carefully, figure out the areas of concern and have a strong logic to support their withdrawal from the situation. They are good in convincing others and self, for the reasons to back up from a tough situation or to quit the task. They do not foresee the solutions; their approach ends at problems.

Next to this are people who are enthusiastic, energetic and ambitious. They want to achieve heights and show a strong courage towards the same. However, they cannot retain these traits for long. When situation gets tough, they try two to three times and then give up. Their survival is higher than fault finders but not long enough to be productive. They are called dabblers.

Stressors are bit different from dabblers. They form the fourth category. They do not give up easily. Their focus is always on going back to the situation and find the solutions. For them, failure is not the solution. They will re-attempt a task till the time it gets completed. They have zest to excel and to succeed. They are dependable people and are very less in numbers.

Rarest of rare people come under the category of masters-the final and fifth category. These are people who have strong analytical skills and who believe in creating alternative ways and developing strategies. Like a stressor, they will get their way but their approach would be more refined and specific as compared to the stressor. Such people are rare in number and are considered to be ones who create histories.

How should I motivate myself to strive all the time ???

You don’t need to strive in life, if you are self-motivated. A motivated person either wins or learns new ways to win from a situation. He never fails. He sees every opportunity as a platform to learn. He looks for useful information everywhere he goes. He has an open mind set and doesn't make random belief systems. He has the courage to explore and invent. He never fears of the end result.

But the question is – How should you motivate yourself?

The foundation for motivation is, “motivation should not be outside in; rather it should be inside out”.If you get motivation from an external source, you are depending yourself on something which is not permanent.
Let’s say the thing or the person who act as the source of motivation for you goes away one day, what will you do? Will you get de-motivated in its absence? Obvious answer is yes. And in such situations you tend to replace it with something similar, which is not easy to find.
However, there could be an internal source as well which can be your source of motivation. Your belief systems, desire to achieve something or even your positive attitude for external world could be your source of motivation. It is often said that a person is not paralysed physically; he’s mentally paralysed. When you have the highest belief and you believe in it, you end up creating your path which leads you there. You don’t need someone to come and motivate you and say good words. You can tell yourself that you can do this and that you know the way as well.
At this moment, after discussing the need of internal source of motivation and reflecting on strong belief systems as one of these, you may think of what makes a strong and right belief system? Answer to this is very simple- it lies in your roots. When the root cause of everything you think and do is correct and clear to you, you enhance your internal motivation. Knowing every thought process of yours help you frame your belief system. You daily actions form a pattern in your life. And these patterns start leading you at one point of time. Eventually you realize that you don’t lead your life; your patterns are leading your life.
In all this, we observe that our conscious mind has stopped working. Our patterns of life have become so strong that they rule the conscious mind state as well. In other words I may say that “the subconscious mind is leading the conscious mind as the conscious mind is not conscious”. Change your mind set and start valuing the right belief system .When you value somebody’s value system, his value system becomes your value system. Start valuing the right belief system.

When you develop the right belief system, you are safe in your own safe hands. Whatever be the circumstances, you will be mentally strong and you can work as per your choice. Be the example people will follow. Just change your pattern and your world will change accordingly.

Attributes of a Great Corporate Trainer

Of late, organizations have begun to realize the importance of Corporate Training for their employees.

MISTAKES are PROOF that you are TRYING.

An organization’s success rests largely on its employees in ways more than one. And in order to keep up with today’s fast paced world, constant training becomes absolutely essential.

A good corporate trainer is an expert in competencies such as communication skills, public speaking, and motivational skills.

Many trainers possess extensive knowledge on a variety of subjects, but all that knowledge is of no utility if the trainer fails to teach it properly.

Effective teaching skills come under the ambit of communication and are a skill that needs to be honed for providing effective trainings.

A trainer’s voice is their asset:  It is a key factor that keeps the audience captivated and engaged. Voice modulation is termed as a ‘soft’ skill but it is just as important as any other skill of a trainer. Some of the best speakers are known and respected for the signature tone of their voice that gives them an edge over others.

A trainer with a sense of humor enjoys undivided attention of their audience, especially during in-depth sessions which go on for hours. It’s a skill that keeps the audience glued together. A little bit of humorous anecdotes every now and then helps in keeping the atmosphere lively during presentations.

Knowledge of the subject is of utmost importance for a trainer. One should possess a thorough knowledge of the presentation subject and the kind of questions to be expected during the course of sessions.

Self confidence is another vital trait for trainers. Adequate self confidence lets the trainer gain a firm footing in fielding questions from the audience.
Companies which believe in developing talent through corporate trainings enjoy the benefit of shaping and retaining their valuable employees.

To conclude, corporate trainers are a pivotal force in taking any organizational to the next level of their successes.
